Has just had it’s 25 year anniversary and needs funding to continue providing support for anyone affected by cancer in North Lancashire & South Lakeland. CancerCare is dedicated to the support of people with cancer, their families and their carers, and those bereaved by cancer. The Rotary club in Lancaster is part of a national and international network of clubs made up of like minded business or professional people, working and retired, who are prepared to give their time, pool skills and as a team, help organise events to raise and distribute much needed funds in support of local and international charitable projects.Derian House Children's Hospice
Providing specialist care & support for children with a terminal or life threatening illness. The hospice is open 365 days a year and the care is completely free to families. With more than £2.6 million needed each year, it remains almost totally reliant on voluntary funding.
